Volume Replacements

Filling the Loss of Facial Shape

Facial Contouring is the art of placing volumizing agents in order to indirectly influence lines, wrinkles and folds caused by the ageing process.

This is associated with a change in light reflection and light-to-shadow ratio which is more aesthetically pleasing. In a young individual, the same principle can be applied in order to give a flat face more movement.

  • Lack of bone support necessitates this procedure earlier
  • Becomes more important as we age.
  • Indirectly influencing lines by altering facial contours which can look more natural instead of placing large amounts of filler directly under the lines.
  • Volume addition to restore youthful features.

Where can the volume be replaced?

Cheeks

Would you like to have pronounced cheekbones or give your face back its faded definition? Enhance your natural beauty and create profound cheekbones and give definition back to your face after soft tissue loss. Cheeks are a part of the beauty triangle and as you lose volume they indirectly influence the formation of Nasolabial lines. High cheekbones may require sub malar augmentation to achieve a rejuvenating effect (the attractive hungry-cheek appearance vs. the ‘skeleton’ look). Cheek enhancement is also a great solution if you’ve had an accident and suffered trauma to your face or lost a lot of weight. It also works wonders for HIV patients whose treatment has removed soft tissue from their cheeks.

Chin

Would you like to have a more pronounced chin? Would you like to reduce the indentation in your chin which has developed lately? Would you like to have a younger, stronger look? A non-surgical, non-permanent implant is the perfect solution and gives you immediate results which last up to 24 months, making it cost effective too.

Nose

People are impacted emotionally about the shape of their nose. They hide their faces, they won’t have their photo taken, and this affects their personality and self confidence. There are two procedures to correct a nose:

  • One is the traditional Rhinoplasty performed by a qualified plastic surgeon. This is the most common. For some people, this may be a little daunting and is a down time procedure but it is permanent.
  • Therefore, the ‘Non Surgical, 15 Minute Nose Job’ is the latest exciting procedure. This procedure is long lasting however not permanent.

What is a 15 Minute Nose Job?

During a 15 minute, non-surgical nose job, patients undergo a dermal filler treatment, such as calcium hydroxylapatite or Hyaluronic, and muscle relaxant. These fillers are injected into the desired areas of the nose to help camouflage abnormalities. Calcium hydroxylapatite will last up to two years whereas Hyaluronic will last six months.

The 15 minute nose job is relatively painless and can be completed in one short clinic visit, however it requires a Cosmetic Injecting Artist. It is important to see ‘Before and After’ photos of the injectors work.

Unlike a surgical procedure, these fillers allow patients to obtain quick results with little or no healing time. The 15 minute Nose job is a walk in and walk out procedure. There may be some bruising which may last a few days. If the patient feels their nose is uneven and some even refer to their nose as bumpy, then a non-surgical nose reshaping can help smooth the defects where surgery is not always needed. By non-surgical nose reshaping the patient has the opportunity to see if they like their new look and may later choose the option of surgery.

A 15 minute nose job is an excellent and affordable option for people who -

  • Do not want to undergo extensive Rhinoplasty
  • Want an instant result with no down time
  • Have slightly crooked or uneven noses
  • Have small noses that need building up
  • Have a hook or beak shaped nose that needs straightening
  • Have a nose that is disproportionate in comparison with other facial features
  • Have a bump on the bridge of the nose
  • Have a wide nose
  • Have a nasal tip that droops, protrudes, or is enlarged

(Patients with large noses that want a decrease need surgical Rhinoplasty)
